“Being a manager means taking an interest in others, giving them responsibility and encouraging them to open their minds.”
Thirty years of technical and commercial experience – in short, at grassroots level – have prepared me for this role.
Inspired by high-performance sport, I continuously strive to find the way to keep a winning momentum. To rise to this challenge, I used to start with ‘how’, that is ,‘how to succeed’. Now I take a ‘why?’ approach, that is, ‘give meaning to our work’.
In this role my secret is humility, through continual self-questioning.
